Team Leaders, a few items for your attention.

BotShot

There is still time to sign up for BotShot presented by Land O’Lakes on Sunday at noon at DeLaSalle High School in Minneapolis.  Four university teams (including the U of MN) have created robots to shoot basketballs in a game of H-O-R-S-E.  The bots will look very familiar because they are using kits from AndyMark. The event is hosted by basketball legends, David Robinson and Christian Laettner.  Here’s the Land O’Lakes website with details (https://features.landolakesinc.com/bot-shot ).  The event is free but you’ll need to RSVP here (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/land-olakes-bot-shot-championship-tickets-58759097041 ) as seats are limited.

MURA Field

Trying to tune up your driving or mechanisms for the World Championship or the MSHSL State Championship?  The MURA field is open to all.  The days will be Thursday and Saturday between now and the State Championship with the exception of Worlds week.  All the details can be found at (https://mnfirst.org/first-community-resources/mura-practice-field/ ).  See you there.

Robot shipping exemption

If your team is going to the World Championship in Detroit and are playing in the MSHSL State Championship  (final standings are out next week), we highly recommend that you bring your robot back with your team from Detroit.  The link to apply for a shipping exemption is here (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfzV3c86CB43ZvC94ZoxC_V7QFIm1UleIHNWqnL-FI4xqcsJw/viewform ).  April 20th is the deadline for the Detroit Championship.
