FRC Kickoff 2026: The Big Reveal!
Kickoff for the 2026 game is Saturday, January 10, 2026.
Kickoff Day is when the new robotics season officially begins! Teams all around the world tune in to see the brand‑new game challenge unveiled for the first time. You’ll get the official rulebook, check out the field setup, and pick up your Kit of Parts to start building your robot.
It’s an exciting day full of energy, brainstorming, and teamwork. Right after the reveal, students dive into strategy talks, sketch ideas, and start prototyping.
Kickoff events and Kit of Parts pickup
There are multiple Kickoff sites, and each Kickoff location has its own event-day schedule and delivery process for the Kit of Parts.
- Be sure to check your Team Dashboard to confirm your Kickoff and Kit Pickup Location.
- FIRST requires that your team representative be an adult (18+ and graduated from high school), brings a team roster, and shows a photo ID. That person will sign the checkoff sheet indicating that your team has received the KOP.
Special note for Teams picking up the Kit of Parts from Eagan High School
The KOP will be available immediately after the code for the 2022 FRC game manual is released. We anticipate this will happen ~ 11:45 AM CT.
To get to the pickup location, please follow these directions to Eagan High School at 4185 Braddock Trail, Eagan MN:
Drive to Eagan via 35E, then exit at Diffley Road and head east. At the second roundabout, turn left (north) on Braddock Trail. Continue on to the third entrance (opposite Ventnor Avenue) and turn left. At the tee in the parking area, turn left along the outside of the Eagan High School gym and stop at the East Entrance (door #40). Get into the queue if other teams are already there. Teams of students will bring the KOPs out and place them by your vehicle (no need to enter the school). We ask that you load the KOP into your vehicle, but we will load it for you if assistance is needed. You will need to show ID and sign the official KOP Receipt before you can depart from the pickup location.
