All of our regional competitions are now confirmed and I am able to share all of that with you at this time.
Week 1: Lake Superior & Northern Lights Regionals in Duluth, MN – March 1-4, 2023
Week 2: Great Northern Regional in Grand Forks, ND – March 8-11, 2023
Week 4: Minnesota North Star @ La Crosse in La Crosse, WI – March 23-26, 2023 (**See below for an important update**) TEMPORARY FOR 2023 ONLY
Week 5: Minnesota 10,000 Lakes Regional Presented by Medtronic at Williams Arena on the University of MN Campus in Minneapolis, MN – March 29-April 1, 2023
** In the spring of 2023, Mariucci Arena will begin a construction project on their rink. As a result, we are not able to hold our Minnesota North Star Regional at that location for the 2023 season. After an extensive search to find an alternative location that will fit our event and date requirements, the location for our event this season will be the La Crosse Center in La Crosse, WI. This means there will be two FIRST Robotics Competition Regional Events in Las Crosse, WI in 2023 – Minnesota North Star Regional and Seven Rivers Regional. Minnesota North Star @ La Crosse is a temporary location only.
**All Regional Planning Committee will work closely with teams and volunteers to ensure each is placed appropriately for our events.
**When the time comes on September 22 to list your event preference, if your team can ONLY attend Williams Arena in week 5 (and this will be your only competition), please preference only that event and do not preference another.
**If you would like to take this opportunity to explore other regionals near us, there typically is space available at the Iowa Regional (Week 4), Wisconsin Regional (Week 4) and Seven Rivers Regional (Week 5.)
** Remote meetings will be held September 12 at 4pm and 6pm to discuss the decision, answer any questions you have, and share how spots will be allocated at events.
