Team leaders, here’s an opportunity to highlight your team and show some fun STEM activities.  Time is short but it could be a lot of fun.

Hello teams,

I am forwarding you information about the Minnesota Twins STEM Day on May 19, 2021.  The Twins are very cognizant about the COVID19 situation and are anticipating a number of ways the day could look.  They are not needing help with the production for the day – but they do have one request.

They are looking for videos of STEM Activities/projects (https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=712&v=sjbITpgIo74&feature=youtu.be ) that they can use during the game – no matter if it is live in person or broadcast.

They need the videos by February 5.  Here is what they sent me – if you have any questions, please ask me at ajurek@isd726.org – Thanks!

From Peter, MN Twins:
Thank you again for your interest in providing content for the STEM Day video. I had a chance to meet with our video productions team last week and we outlined a timeline for the video that would allow them to have it ready to go before the season begins. Our video producer will have a chance to do the bulk of the editing and creation while in Florida at spring training in February (I already asked, and no, he doesn’t need any extra hands in Florida ☹).
With that in mind, I am hoping to have the videos to him by February 8th, when he goes to spring training. If possible, I would like to have videos from you by Friday, February 5th.
We’re looking for 3-5 minute fun experiments/demonstrations that cover anything under the STEM umbrella. Preferably students (or your own kids) are involved in the video. Anything baseball related is great, but not a requirement.
A couple of requirements/housekeeping details to make things easier for our video team:
• Please shoot the video in landscape (horizontal) mode
• Label the file with your school name. Also, if you could start off your video by introducing yourself, what school you’re with, and what grade level your teaching, that would be great
• Here is a link to upload your video (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1wQdT5OWmlFK8dA9XuJo2LS4MpjB7ZpFB ). This way the video will upload in its original quality and won’t be compressed like it would in an email attachment. You should be able to drop the file into here.
• If you need to film something a couple times, that’s alright. You can upload multiple videos and we can edit the pieces we need.
