Team Leaders, as always, please pass this information along to team members and mentors.  I wish I were reporting that the season was well underway and that we had lots of teams heading to Detroit but, as we all know, that’s not happening.  Stay well.

The latest FIRST Community Newsletter is out and can be found here (https://tinyurl.com/r76hxfm ).

John Millea, the social media guru for the MSHSL, is writing a story about what MN robotics teams are doing to aid in the fight against the coronavirus – making masks, donating PPE, using 3D printers, etc.  If your team is contributing to this effort in any way, please send a description and pictures to Amy Doherty (adoherty@mshsl.org) at the MSHSL.

There are no plans at the present time concerning the rescheduling of the Minneapolis Regionals or the MSHSL/FIRST State Championship.

The first Virtual MN Best Bot Ever Regional Meetup was hosted by Yoji Shimizu last Saturday on Zoom video conferencing.  Attendees had a great time and it was fun to see everyone’s faces again.  Several teams gave presentations on their robots and/or talked about their outreach activities.  Ryan Lester provided an update on the state-funded practice field at the Hmong College Prep Academy.  Also, there were several questions in the ever-popular MN FIRST trivia contest (with prizes, too!).  Watch for details on the next Meetup.  If you’d like to review last week’s event, see this YouTube link (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwVk3vG9Vz8&feature=emb_logo ).
