Team Leaders, here are the details for the INFINITE RECHARGE Kickoff.

You have signed up for the Kickoff at Northrop Auditorium on the U of MN-Twin Cities east campus (http://campusmaps.umn.edu/northrop-memorial-auditorium ).   Car parking is available in the Church Street ramp (https://campusmaps.umn.edu/church-street-garage ) adjacent to the auditorium or in the Washington Ave Ramp http://campusmaps.umn.edu/washington-avenue-parking-ramp ).   Bus parking is behind TCF stadium (https://mnfirst.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/MinneapolisBusParking.pdf ).

Please remember that food and drinks are not allowed in the auditorium.  We will need your help in enforcing this.

Doors will open at 8:00am for registration in the Northrop lobby. An adult mentor (with picture ID), who is responsible for picking up and signing off on the team’s KOP, must register at this time even if your team members aren’t attending (i.e., no registration after 9:00am). Please bring a team roster printed from TIMS so that we know all team members have signed “Consent and Release” forms.

The program will begin around 9:00am with a few speakers and should conclude around 10:45am. The actual game reveal starts at 9:30am. That portion of the broadcast will last about 45 minutes followed immediately by Q&A and the field walkthrough. If you are leaving the auditorium to pick up your KOP, please be courteous to those who want to watch the rest of the broadcast.

Kit of Parts (KOP) distribution will follow the broadcast at Northrop at the loading dock accessed from the hallway to the left as you are facing the stage.  The team’s adult mentor must be present to sign off on the receipt of the KOP.  There will be a large tote (rookies will have an additional tote) and a few other pieces (e.g., AndyMark chassis kit, etc.) that will need to be carried out so please bring a dolly or similar carrying device.

For team members not present at Northrop, the broadcast is on Twitch so check your school’s firewall if you have members viewing it locally (https://www.firstinspires.org/robotics/frc/kickoff-broadcast ).

The U of MN Student Robotics group will be hosting the POKO (Post Kickoff) event following the Kickoff from 1:00pm until 3:00pm.  If your team would like to attend, please see information about the event at (http://studentrobotics.umn.edu/events ).
