STEM Day at the Twins game on May 15th

Control Systems Training

The Roseville FireBears will be hosting a seminar on Motion Magic on Thursday, May 23rd starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Roseville Area High School Auditorium.  We have invited Corey Applegate to lead the seminar.

Corey Applegate, Lead Mentor for team 3244 The Granite City Gearheads, will walk you through the process of configuring your robot’s subsystems using Motion Magic with the Cross The Roads Electronics TalonSRX. He will show us how to collect the data and calculate the values needed to use the Motion Magic control mode of the TalonSRX and attached feedback option. He will also talk about some of the more advanced usage in the case of arms and the use of Arbitrary Feed forward to control the motion as the angle changes.

Precision control of robot mechanisms bring enjoyment to students and mentors.  Understanding how to use Motion Magic is another tool for you to achieve that control.  We look forward to seeing you on the 23rd!

Gitch Gummi post-season event

The Gitchi Gummi Get Together is scheduled for July 19th and 20th and is filling fast.  We have a target of 24 teams for this year’s event.  Currently we have 14 teams registered and are looking to fill the roster.

This year we are partnering with UMD again to have dorms available and are adding camping on campus for $5.00 per person per night.  There are toilet facilities but no showers available for campers.  Shower facilities can be used on Saturday morning in East locker rooms.  We will have separate showers for mentors.  The Daredevils hope this will prove useful for teams.
Sing up quickly as spaces are going fast.
