Team Leaders, here are a couple of updates in preparation for the Great Northern Regional.

A note from your event MC:

To all teams attending the 2019 Great Northern Regional,

We look forward to welcoming you to the second Great Northern Regional in Grand Forks, North Dakota, in just a few weeks!  We are seeking your assistance with a special project that we are working on for the regional.  We are in need of a picture of your team to be included in this project.  It does not have to be a formal team picture.  Any picture that captures the essence of your team this year will be fine.  We only need one, so choose carefully!

The picture should be in landscape format and high resolution.

Team Lunches and General Food

The Great Northern Regional is held in the Alerus Center which has vendor contracts that prohibit the public from bringing their own food and drinks into an event.  This applies to all teams and spectators.  Please don’t try to “sneak in” food or drinks.  To enforce this rule, robot inspectors will be monitoring load in.  Every student will receive a water bottle courtesy of the Grand Forks Visitor’s Bureau and beverage coolers will be placed around the venue for refilling bottles. Concessions will be open. Please review event rules with your team members:

Note that this document does not specifically say ‘food’ because the rules apply also to district events.

Team lunch order forms are found here (https://mnfirst.org/the-great-northern-regional/great-northern-lunch/ ) and are due by March 8th.  The meals will be served on the Alerus stadium floor and are quite convenient.
