Twin Cities Public Television – Hands-on Science program

FIRST Robotics will be the topic of the Hands-on Science show to air on Twin Cities Channel 2 at 8am on Sunday, April 15th  (https://www.tpt.org/hands-on-science/about/ ). Our local MC, Yoji Shimizu, and 5 teams, 1816, 2177, 2500, 3130, and 4536, explain what it takes to make a robot run and perform tasks.

Shipping robots to/from FIRST Championship

If your team is going to the Championship in Detroit and playing in the MSHSL State Championship, please pay attention to the shipping requirements for bringing your robot back from the event.  This is highly recommended because FIRST will not guarantee the robot is returned in time for the State Championship:

Target – TWIST Epic awards

Target Women in Science and Technology (TWIST) are taking nominations to honor young women who are Engaged, Passionate, Innovative and Curious (EPIC) within STEM fields.  Several women from FRC teams have been celebrated in the past. Additional information and nomination forms can be found at:

Robotics Day at Minnesota United soccer game

All levels of FIRST will be showcased at the Minnesota United vs. Real Salt Lake soccer game at 7pm on Saturday, July 14.  The game is at TCF Stadium (football) on the U of MN campus.  Discount tickets are available.  For more information, please contact Allie Emch (allie.e@mnufc.com) or Nestor Taylor (nestor.t@mnufc.com )
